[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1019749] Re: pdf import extention not included by default in Ubuntu 12.04
Make sure libreoffice-pdfimport package is installed (use following command): sudo apt-get install libreoffice-pdfimport ** Package changed: ubuntu = libreoffice (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Tags added: precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019749 Title: pdf import extention not included by default in Ubuntu 12.04 Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I'm not sure if this only affects Ubuntu 12.04 or ubuntu as a whole. Before OpenOffice split into LibreOffice there was an external optinal extention called the Oracle PDF import tool. It worked well. Now that LibreOffice has become the default office program it supposedly includes this PDF import tool by default and there is no longer a way to download it manually from the LibreOffice website. Unfortunatley it must only be included by default in the Windows versions of LibreOffice as i can not find it through the Tools Extention Manager dialog in Ubutnu 12.04. It is not there! I was relying on this tool for some important PDF restoration work.
