[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1027485] Re: gwibber-accounts crashed with OperationalError in Delete(): disk I/O error
I'm not sure why you mention all of the other usb devices. The error with the usb disk was this: Jul 18 14:59:14 localhost6 kernel: [544817.211569] Write(10): 2a 00 00 01 83 e0 00 00 09 00 Jul 18 14:59:14 localhost6 kernel: [544817.211581] end_request: I/O error, dev sdb, sector 99296 Jul 18 14:59:14 localhost6 kernel: [544817.212024] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Unhandled error code Jul 18 14:59:14 localhost6 kernel: [544817.212026] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] I believe that disk IO error means just that, rather than a corrupt database. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1027485] Re: gwibber-accounts crashed with OperationalError in Delete(): disk I/O error
That doesn't make sense for me. Gwibber doesn't use any usb disk, all it is on my hard drive laptop. It cannot be related. I think that the sqlite database could be corrupt and raise a OperationalError exception. Could you tell me where is the standard path for the sqlite database? [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1027485] Re: gwibber-accounts crashed with OperationalError in Delete(): disk I/O error
Yes, I think the USB disk is unrelated to gwibber, and you have TWO bad disks. The log you posted though did not go back far enough to see the problem with gwibber. You might try reproducing the error then running dmesg immediately. The smartctl output you posted does not include the self test log. Did you run the self test first with smartctl -t long? It will take a few hours to complete. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gwibber in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1027485 Title: gwibber-accounts crashed with OperationalError in Delete(): disk I/O error Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Deleting a twitter account under EditAccounts triggers this error. You seem to be having some problems with your disk(s). What is your disk configuration? That kernel log shows a usb disk having some errors, but I am guessing that is not the drive you boot from. You might want to check the drive SMART status in the disk utility and see if it is failing.
