Title:
Superfluous option "print-color-mode" cannot be removed

Status in hplip package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Drivers:
  hp-color_laserjet_cp1515n-pcl3.ppd
  hp-color_laserjet_cp1515n-hpijs-pcl3.ppd

Both drivers display an advanced option called "print-color-mode" in the "Job
Options" panel, which is superfluous, since color mode is selected on the
"Printer Options" panel.
Moreover, trying to remove this option pressing the "remove" button does not
work. The option seems to disappear, but reappears when the dialog is displayed
next time.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1036168] Re: Superfluous option "print-color-mode" cannot be removed

2018-10-15 Thread Rüdiger Kupper
Hello,
interestingly, the problem still exists in bionic. There are two "advanced
options", "print-color-ode" and "job-cancel-after" that cannot be removed or
changed (as meilan pointed out above).

** Tags added: apport-collected bionic

** Description changed:

  Drivers:
  hp-color_laserjet_cp1515n-pcl3.ppd
  hp-color_laserjet_cp1515n-hpijs-pcl3.ppd

Both drivers display an advanced option called "print-color-mode" in the "Job
Options" panel, which is superfluous, since color mode is selected on the
"Printer Options" panel.
Moreover, trying to remove this option pressing the "remove" button does not

2018-10-12 Thread gf
Hello Rudiger,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with the hplip
package. You made this bug report in 2012 and Ubuntu and hplip have been
updated since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1036168
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.
G
