[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1037726] Re: xorg crashes with message: [drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Failed to idle channel 2.

2014-01-08 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Cas, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-nouveau REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1037726] Re: xorg crashes with message: [drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Failed to idle channel 2.

2013-12-09 Thread Malek Ghantous
I'm running Xubuntu 13.10. The problem never seemed to crop up on
13.04, though I didn't use that for long. It only ever seems to happen
when Firefox has been running for a while, though the last time I
managed to set it off by running a 3d application (geomview) while
Firefox was running.

My hardware:

$ lspci | grep -i nvidia
05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GT218 [NVS 300] (rev a2)
05:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation High Definition Audio Controller (rev

The log looks like this :

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1037726] Re: xorg crashes with message: [drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Failed to idle channel 2.

2012-11-21 Thread Kevin Pattison
This effects two computers that I have, both running older GeForce
cards. Happens randomly but I rarely get more that 4-5 mins use after
boot before it crashes.
