Public bug reported: In Nautilus 3.4.2 (Ubuntu 12.04, 3.4.2-0ubuntu6) there was Safely remove option for any drive. In Nautilus 3.4.2 (Ubuntu 12.10, 3.5.90.really.3.4.2-0ubuntu4.1) it is missed. Please bring it back.
Removing powered device from USB port is unsafe operation. It is not sufficient to unmount/eject drive, it must be completely powered off before removal.
