Public bug reported:

The search field of chromium selects the string in the search field directly
into the clipboard, thereby overwriting existing content in the clipboard.
This is annoying, since if you want to search something from the clipboard on a
page, you cannot paste it into the search field.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open chromium, go to a website, e.g. http://www.ubuntu.com/
2. select text, e.g. "Ubuntu"
3. press ctrl-f to open the search field (if empty, you can paste with middle
mouse button)
4. select a different text, e.g. "Tastefully"
5. again press ctrl-f for a search
6. search field content ("Ubuntu") is selected AND in clipboard
7. you cannot paste "Tastefully", since "Ubuntu" is in clipboard

Thanks for looking into it.
