Title:
HP G56-1065A Laptop external display not functioning properly

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Plugging in an external monitor into this laptop on Ubuntu 12.04.

  Prerequisites:

External monitor is plugged in and the laptop screen is turned off
using the slider switch under Displays.

  What happens:

Unplugging external monitor is not detected by the laptop so the
laptop screen does not turn itself on. User has to instead manually
turn on the laptop screen before unplugging the externa monitor.

  What I expect to happen:

External monitor is unplugged and the laptop screen turns back on
  instead, all on its own.

Have not found this issue with any other laptop as yet.

  Regards

  Jason
