[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1175547] Re: photo viewer closes by itself when opening picture
I still have this all the time, with a wide range of jpegs. Sometimes when I open them eog is stable, but very often it crashes about a second after loading (and showing the image) for the same image. It sounds like this is the same issue, so I'll add to this bug report: I am also on Ubuntu 13.04. When running eog from the command line, I get the following error report: eog 20130518_132058.jpg eog: /build/buildd/cairo-1.12.14/src/cairo-mempool.c:160: get_buddy: Assertion `offset + (1 bits) = pool-num_blocks' failed. Aborted (core dumped) The stack trace isn't much more helpful, as I don't have debug symbols for libcairo, but I'll attache it just in case. #0 0x73c74037 in __GI_raise (sig=sig@entry=6) at ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c:56 #1 0x73c77698 in __GI_abort () at abort.c:90 #2 0x73c6ce03 in __assert_fail_base (fmt=0x73dc3578 %s%s%s:%u: %s%sAssertion `%s' failed.\n%n, assertion=assertion@entry=0x755731a0 offset + (1 bits) = pool-num_blocks, file=file@entry=0x75573170 /build/buildd/cairo-1.12.14/src/cairo-mempool.c, line=line@entry=160, function=function@entry=0x75573281 get_buddy) at assert.c:92 #3 0x73c6ceb2 in __GI___assert_fail (assertion=0x755731a0 offset + (1 bits) = pool-num_blocks, file=0x75573170 /build/buildd/cairo-1.12.14/src/cairo-mempool.c, line=160, function=0x75573281 get_buddy) at assert.c:101 #4 0x754e07eb in ??
