Hi! Thanks. So let me get this straight... if Google suggests 2 possible ports... and one of them crashes LibreOffice, then this is not a bug in LibreOffice, but we should just use the other port. Hi! Done. But the terminal window says Package libreoffice not installed and no hook available, ignoring. I am running the absolutely FRESH AND DEFAULT Ubuntu 12.04.02 and believe me, when I launch LibreOffice Writer, it launches... so no idea why this message appears. Gilles.
