[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1244498] Re: Installing opencl causes intel glx module to fail loading
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1245260 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1245260 ** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) = opencv (Ubuntu) ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1245260 Installing libopencv-dev breaks OpenGl for Intel based gpu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244498 Title: Installing opencl causes intel glx module to fail loading Status in “opencv” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I installed libopencl-dev on my laptop with an i915 chipset. This in turn caused the libopencv-ocl2.4 dependency to be installed, which in turn caused the nvidia-304 packages to be installed to satisfy the libopencl1 virtual package dependency. Afterwards, when I restarted my computer, unity wouldn't load and I found an error message in Xorg.log stating that the *Nvidia* glx module had failed to load. The workaround was to: apt-get remove nvidia-304 nvidia-304-updates apt-get install libopencl-dev ocl-icd-libopencl1 I will post the exact log contents tomorrow.
