2013-12-04 Thread jtraifalgar
After I add the ppa:diwic/hda, install the hda-jack-retask and snd-hda-

hda-jack-sense-test -a

I got this result from terminal:

2013-12-03 Thread Raymond
it is unlikely that you perform test without anying plug into headphone
jack or Line out jack

https://launchpad.net/~diwic/+archive/hda

try hda-jack-sense-test -a

do the following command return 0x8000 when you hp/speaker plugged
into following jacks and return 0 when you unplugged

Headphone

hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x1b GET_PIN_SENSE 0

Line Out (green)

hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x14 GET_PIN_SENSE 0

Line Out (black)

hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x15 GET_PIN_SENSE 0

Line Out (orange)

hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x16 GET_PIN_SENSE 0

Line Out (grey)

hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x16 GET_PIN_SENSE 0

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1252212] Re: [MS-7697, Realtek ALC887-VD, Green Line Out, Rear] Background noise or low volume

2013-12-02 Thread jtraifalgar
Using this command:

pulseaudio -k
sudo alsa force-reload

I reload and I get this result

Unloading ALSA sound driver modules: snd-hda-codec-realtek snd-hda-intel
snd-hda-codec snd-hwdep snd-pcm snd-seq-midi snd-rawmidi snd-seq-midi-event
snd-seq snd-timer snd-seq-device snd-page-alloc (failed: modules still loaded:
snd-hda-codec-realtek snd-hda-intel snd-hda-codec snd-hwdep snd-pcm snd-timer
snd-page-alloc).
Loading ALSA sound driver modules: snd-hda-codec-realtek snd-hda-intel
snd-hda-codec snd-hwdep snd-pcm snd-seq-midi snd-rawmidi snd-seq-midi-event
snd-seq snd-timer snd-seq-device snd-page-alloc.

Then I try to get another pulseverbose log
