Title:
SAMSUNG S5830i (GALAXY Ace) not mounted as usb mass storage

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Release: Ubuntu 13.10 x64
Device should be mounted as mass storage (not mtp-device -- ums - usb mass
storage mode).
Instead Ubuntu thinks its a BCM21553-Thunderbird from Broadcom an tries to
mount it as mtp-device -- no access to internal / external sd-card of this
device.

Strangely enough it was mounted one time correctly: (see syslog)
  udisksd[1979]: Mounted /dev/sdc1 at /media/caroline/C0A5-1BEA.
