[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1269840] Re: ubuntu-bug ubuntu-bug doesn't work
Not only the name of package. $ ubuntu-bug -h Usage: ubuntu-bug [options] [symptom|pid|package|program path|.apport/.crash file] Yes, this is an enhancement to add just |program name| to the lookup order. ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1269840 Title: ubuntu-bug ubuntu-bug doesn't work Status in “apport” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: ubuntu-bug doesn't make program lookup when package lookup failed. This is inconvenient for users, who don't know about `which` command. Is it possible to automate lookup and continue search until something matches? [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1269840] Re: ubuntu-bug ubuntu-bug doesn't work
This is expected as ubuntu-bug isn't the name of any package in Ubuntu. Apport requires the name of a package. This can also be seen in trying to report a bug against chromium-browser by using ubuntu-bug chromium. Closed as this is the expected behavior of Apport. ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1269840 Title: ubuntu-bug ubuntu-bug doesn't work Status in “apport” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: ubuntu-bug doesn't make program lookup when package lookup failed.
