Public bug reported:

The printer Infotec ISC 824 does not work in CUPS 1.7.0.

The printed error message is:
"""
ERROR: configurationerror
OFFENDING COMMAND: setpagedevice

STACK:

-dictionary-
"""

A reliable work-around is to include repository sources from Ubuntu
13.04 "Raring" and installing according cups-packages with:

"sudo aptitude install cups/raring libcups2/raring cups-bsd/raring cups-
client/raring cups-common/raring cups-daemon/raring cups-filters/raring
cups-ppdc/raring libcupscgi1/raring libcupsfilters1/raring
libcupsimage2/raring libcupsmime1/raring libcupsppdc1/raring"

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu 13.10
Release:        13.10

$ apt-cache policy cups
cups:
  Installiert:           1.7.0~rc1-0ubuntu5.2
  Installationskandidat: 1.7.0~rc1-0ubuntu5.2

(but as already stated the behaviour was introduced by the major change
from 1.6.x to 1.7.x)

I expected it to print <a pdf file> (I tested various PDFs and other files).

It didn't print.

** Affects: cups (Ubuntu)
