Btw, I've noticed, that seahorse and GNOME Shell in Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty) with lightdm crashes if you enter a blank password in Seahorse keyring password changing dialog. Appearing keyring password dialog in Chromium web browser after automatic login setup problem can be solved by instaling gdm and purging lightdm package (sudo apt-get install gdm && sudo apt-get purge lightdm ). Thank you for your bug report, that's not a bug though. The purpose of a keyring is to provide secure storing, if you could access the stored passwords without using any authentification then anyone could read those.
