You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and hplip have been updated 
since then. 

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the 
ticket? 
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to 
this bug? 
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run 
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1290153
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this 
particular issue.

From the hp-wificonfig output It looks like there is some problem in
device uri parsing.

To help us resolve the issue can you delete all the existing queues and
run hp-wificonfig -g on your terminal and provide us the output of
this command

Bug description:
  I have the latest  HPLIP proprietory tools  and am locate wireless hardware 
on the device  unable to locate wireless hardware on device and so  unable 
to turn on wireless adaptor 
  Device seems to be found but that is where it stops.
