Great! Thanks!

Very simple solution, but impossible to find unless by accident!
It worked, just pressing + on the monitor!

:-)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1299629] Re: [V320-M.BG31P1, Intel PantherPoint HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] No sound at all

2014-05-12 Thread Edson Amaral
I had a trouble with sound in LG Electronics V320-M.BG31P1, using Ubuntu 14.04
LTS. I and a friend of mine has the same computer model installed with Ubuntu
and have no sound. Accidentally my friend discovered that if he touch the (+)
button to increase volume in front of the monitor the sound opens and you can
hear the sound of the computer.
This is a lack of something in the Intel Driver for this kind of computer
model. I believe this will be solved with the next version of kernel.

seem bug in parsing when you have two hda codecs alc269vb and Intel
PantherPoint HDMI

Codec: Realtek ALC269VB
Address: 0
AFG Function Id: 0x1 (unsol 1)
Vendor Id: 0x10ec0269
Subsystem Id: 0x18540167
Revision Id: 0x100100

Codec: Intel PantherPoint HDMI
Address: 3
AFG Function Id: 0x1 (unsol 0)
Vendor Id: 0x80862806
Subsystem Id: 0x80860101
Revision Id: 0x10

try different probe mask to find out whether you can use

1) analog codec alc269vb using probe_mask=1
2) pantherpoint hdmi codec using probe_mask = 8

you should file a bug at

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Drivers
