Title:
[K55VD, Realtek ALC270, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all - AUDIO
  ICON ON TOOLBAR DISAPPEARED

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I'm using Ubuntu 14.10, the package is 1.0.25+dfsg-0ubuntu4. I think
also pulseaudio is involved with this problem. It is pulseaudio
1:4.0-0ubuntu11. No sound is played, neither with speakers nor with
headphones. Sometimes it works with sudo alsa force-reload but there's
always some problem while unloading the plugin (it seems to be used by
some process). After an uninstall and reinstall of alsa-base and
pulseaudio my audio icon disappeared and there's no way to get audio
  back.

2014-05-12 Thread Michele Campobasso
I see. I tried to run your command but was not found. I'm a little noob,
so could you tell me what i have to do? I repeat, i pushed all the
values on alsamixer to 100 but nothing still works.

2014-05-12 Thread Michele Campobasso
The problem is not about plugging or unplugging the headphone. If i
don't connect any headphone the problem still persist. I tried also
alsamixer but nothing was at 0 or muted.

also pulseaudio is involved with this problem. It is pulseaudio
1:4.0-0ubuntu11. No sound is played, neither with speakers nor with
headphones. Sometimes it works with sudo alsa force-reload but there's
always some problem while unloading the plugin (it seems to be used by
some process). After an uninstall and reinstall of alsa-base and
pulseaudio my audio icon disappeared and there's no way to get audio
  back.
