Public bug reported: My Ubuntu 14.0.4 LTS got several software updates during the last days. Today I have rebooted my computer. After I login, the screen only has the purple ubuntu background, but no Unity panels/toolbars. Tried to reboot several times - doesn't help.
I am able to switch to console with Alt+F6. From console I installed Gnome - doesn't work either. Thanks God, LXDE works - that's what I am using now. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu.
