Title:
Opening emulator in dev tools leaves whole screen dark/black

Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
When I fire up the dev tools in Chromium (no matter on which page) and
start the device emulator, something on Ubuntu crashes and my screen
  goes completely dark.

The whole screen, not only the window or the tab.

Even using Alt+Ctrl+F1 does not give me any screen signal. Maybe X is
  crashing?

Chromium is probably still running, since sounds keep playing.

I guess I see this issue ever since my upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04.

I have no idea on how to trace down what actually is happening.

I used the Chromium emulator before, so my mouse cursor turns into the
touch screen emulation circle. That's the last thing that changes
  before my screens go black.

2018-08-06 Thread Paul White
Andy,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Chromium since that time.

Can this bug report now be closed or do you still see the problem that
you reported?

If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in
approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
