I see there is work in progress to get 0.9.10 into Ubuntu, that will
contain the fix, if that does not make it into 14.10, we probably should
add just the patch referenced.

Testing the fix would require a package built that contains the fix.
Released versions containing it are:

0.9.9.98

but none of them are yet available in Ubuntu.
