Title:
google maps window is all black

Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Navigate to maps.google.com on chromium-browser. All is fine. Type
in an address. The map of the address is displayed for just a moment,
maybe a half second, then the entire window goes black, except for the
inset windows. If you click on "street view", the same thing happens:
for just a moment, you see the street view, then blackness. Embedded
maps in web sites seem to work. This was all working fine before the
last update to chromium. Back in August and September I was using
  google maps almost every day.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1384459] Re: google maps window is all black

2018-07-18 Thread Paul White
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some
time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

It would help us a lot if you could test on a currently supported Ubuntu
version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the
updated logs by running only once in a terminal:

apport-collect 1384459

and add any additional information that you think relevant.
Alternatively, please confirm that this is no longer a problem and that
we can close the report. If we do not hear from you the bug report will
close itself in approximately two months time.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1384459] Re: google maps window is all black

2014-10-22 Thread Andrew Sharp
On my system, this is 100% reproduceable. It behaves this way no matter
what I've tried, including rebooting.
