  Notification cuts volume by over 50% and requires reboot to recover

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:
  1) Set volume to 100%
  2) Open music app and play something
  3) Receive a text message notification

  Outcome:
  Volume is hardly audible.
  Cannot be increased by volume control as it is considered to be 100% by the 
system
  Reboot required to fix

  Expected outcome:
  Volume should restore after notification
