Title:
Software Center always shows an OS update is available

Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
When I open the Software Center "Ubuntu Software," at the top Updates
shows the 1 indicator meaning there's an update. When I click on it,
it says there's an OS Update available. I click on Install, and it
seems to go through the install process (the status bar is moving),
but then after, when the program refreshes, it still says that update
is available. It never goes away.

The update it is trying to install is grub-efi-amd64-signed, then over
  a bit it says 1.66.2+2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.2.

2016-09-21 Thread Robert Ancell
Did this resolve? It sounds like some dependency issue was holding this
back.
