[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1696019] Re: cursor not following the theme while hovering the desktop and the windows decorations
Sorry. Confirmed on artful. You just have to log in using the GNOME session (not GNOME on Wayland). So this is a Xorg-specific bug, which still exists. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Changed in: lightdm (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Tags added: artful ** Summary changed: - cursor not following the theme while hovering the desktop and the windows decorations + Gnome (on Xorg) randomly ignores customized cursor theme ** Summary changed: - Gnome (on Xorg) randomly ignores customized cursor theme + Gnome (on Xorg) dishonours customized cursor theme while hovering the desktop and the windows decorations ** Tags added: cursor ** Changed in: lightdm (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1696019 Title: Gnome (on Xorg) dishonours customized cursor theme while hovering the desktop and the windows decorations Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in lightdm package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: If I use lightdm to load GNOME Shell, I encounter a very weird bug: if I move the cursor to hover the desktop, the cursor theme becomes DMZ White, but if I move the cursor over the GNOME panel or over any open window, it returns back to the custom theme set by me. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1696019] Re: cursor not following the theme while hovering the desktop and the windows decorations
It appears the bug does not exist in 17.10. So this is either Fix Released post-16.04, or some problem specific to your custom theme. Please help us to figure out which by: 1. Testing Ubuntu 17.10 or 17.04; and 2. Testing the standard Ambiance/Radiance themes. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: lightdm (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1696019 Title: Gnome (on Xorg) dishonours customized cursor theme while hovering the desktop and the windows decorations Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in lightdm package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: If I use lightdm to load GNOME Shell, I encounter a very weird bug: if I move the cursor to hover the desktop, the cursor theme becomes DMZ White, but if I move the cursor over the GNOME panel or over any open window, it returns back to the custom theme set by me.
