Any news on the incorportation of the upstream fix?
This is a blocker issue (application usage becomes so slow I had to switch to
Thunderbird).

Title:
Evolution produces massive network traffic with IMAP accounts

Status in evolution package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Since upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04, Evolution generates excessive traffic
with a only few (5-7) imap accounts.

  E.g. RX bytes:98361856545 (98.3 GB) for a computer with 5h uptime.

Most traffic seems to be generated when you open any folder.
  E.g.:
  1. Click on the "Sent" folder
  2. Wait for it to finish loading
  3. Click on "Inbox"
  4. Wait for it to finish loading

  about 1GB of traffic generated.
