The upstream fix was just merged into master. I am not sure if/when the fix will be backported to gnome-3-36 branch, however fixing this in Ubuntu should be pretty easy. The fix consists of these two commits that can be applied downstream (in deb gnome-software / Snap Store): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- software/-/merge_requests/457/commits -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1750818 Title: Already installed deb packages not showing as installed when opened Status in snap-store: New Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: If you open an already installed local deb file using GNOME Software (Ubuntu Software), it shows "Install" instead of the correct "Remove" option.
