[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1750938] Re: Noto Chinese fonts won't print in Libreoffice
Thanks. 6.0.1 is currently in -proposed, but will be shipped with 18.04. Can we consider the issue fixed for Ubunbu 18.04? We switch to Noto Serif CJK as default only in 18.04. In previous version the default serif fonts for Chinese are AR PL UMing and AR PL UKai. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1750938] Re: Noto Chinese fonts won't print in Libreoffice
Correction: noto "sans" cjk sc seems to be OK when the same file is exported to pdf. It's noto "serif" cjk sc that's having problems. Cannot reprocedure this issue in Debian sid (libreoffice-writer 1:6.0.1-1, fonts-noto-cjk 1:20170601+repack1-1). Maybe there are some changes between libreoffice 1:5.4.4-0ubuntu5 and 1:6.0.1-1 that fix this issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to fonts-noto-cjk in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1750938 Title: Noto Chinese fonts won't print in Libreoffice Status in Ubuntu Kylin: New Status in fonts-noto-cjk package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: LibreOffice won't print or export to pdf when document contains Noto fonts (both sans and serif). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1750938] Re: Noto Chinese fonts won't print in Libreoffice
Thanks for your report. No, changing the CJK font is certainly not "easily done", and there is only one week left before "FeatureFreeze" for Ubuntu 18.04. Considering that it's the same glyphs, can the issue have something to do with the package format, i.e. weight specific OTC files, we are using in Debian/Ubuntu? Someone commenting on the document you linked to mentioned that using TTF files solved the problem. Let's first and foremost make sure that we don't compare apples and oranges.
