[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1790541] Re: "Laptop crashed while installing update" package gnome-menus 3.13.3-11ubuntu1.1 failed to install/upgrade: triggers looping, abandoned
** Changed in: gnome-menus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-menus/+question/673321 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-menus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1790541 Title: "Laptop crashed while installing update" package gnome-menus 3.13.3-11ubuntu1.1 failed to install/upgrade: triggers looping, abandoned Status in gnome-menus package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: My laptop crashed while installing updates and now my desktop screen looks different and the sidebar is gone. I can run stuff on my desktop but only by right clicking and when I exit one of the programs it just crashes and freezes my system. I've gone into safe boot mode but don't really know what to run. I got into the root menu and tried running dpkg but it says "failed to fetch" and then starts "restoring original system state". Nothing seems to help out. I'm desperate here I don't want to do a fresh install and lose everything.
