I've also have the same issue. But not only in password field in firefox. It lost even if i haven't swiched keyboard layout for a time. And I have to press super+space to make it visible. I'm on ubuntu 18.10 with gnome 3.30, but my coworkers have the same problem on 18.04 with gnome 3.28.
