[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1860429] Re: Detail pages are not found for some Snap apps opened from Shell Overview
It seems that not only the Snap apps are matched incorrectly or not found when clicking "Show Details". For example showing details for the preinstalled "TeXInfo" app opens page for a "System Info" from Cinnamon and when clicking a "Source" drop-down list in header of the page, there is around ~30 different sources for various settings-related apps displayed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860429 Title: Detail pages are not found for some Snap apps opened from Shell Overview Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: New Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: This happens on the latest GNOME Software 3.34.2 on Ubuntu Focal. When right clicking some app installed from Snap in the GNOME Shell Overview mode and clicking "Show Details", its details page cannot be found. Instead, a "Sorry! There are no details for that application." error is displayed. This happens for example with the preinstalled GNOME Logs app. To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1860429/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

This also happens for Firefox although it is installed from the Ubuntu repositories, not Snap Store. But this can be another issue (I remember that Firefox also had some issues with its details page in GNOME Software also on Fedora some time ago).
