Title:
File manager grabs favorites folders on left

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Upgraded to beta release of 20.4 and Nautilus file manager now is
exhibiting a problem reported in older versions. When clicking on
folders in the left side window the folder will be dragged to where
ever the mouse is moved. The work around is to click once move
slightly then click again to release in the same spot. The other work
around is to reboot and sometimes the problem goes away.

I believe all this information has be sent when I did the ubuntu-bug command,
but here is is again:
Release: Ubuntu Focal Fossa (development branch)
  nautilus:Installed: 1:3.36.1.1-1ubuntu2

Expected behavior: Expected to click on "favorite" folder and be taken
to the folder in the right side of screen.

Actual behavior: Clicking on "favorite" folder grabbed the folder to
drag where ever the cursor went. Need to click again in same place on
left screen to release the folder.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1873026] Re: File manager grabs favorites folders on left

2020-09-23 Thread peterfrank
I have the same problem in Ubuntu 20.04, and also 19.10 before
upgrading. The problem occurs sporadically. I can confirm that the
problem disappears after reboot, or if I just log out and log in again.
When the problem occurs, it also triggers weird mouse behavior in a few
other applications such as Zoom, so it seems to affect more than
Nautilus bookmarks.

2020-08-05 Thread Rob Frohne
Hi All,

As described on June 20, the bug went away, but it is back now, so there
must be some way to make it come and go, but I haven't figured out what
I did.

There is a video on the new reported issue,
https://photos.app.goo.gl/FTk4iWqiGG2RQ1Hk7

Do you get the problem often? Do you get click problem in other places?
It's not happening here neither with a mouse or a trackpad, what device
are you using?
