I am facing a similar problem, but unlike the case of the bug reporter, in my case it happens when "double-click on top bar of window to minimize" feature is not enabled. I have never enabled that feature. Tested now with 10y old Logitech Mx518 and issue reproduced with PhotoGIMP both maximizes/unmaximized. Large desktop icons, placed on top-center. So, im not sure why you could not reproduce. Hey, thanks for replies. I now have more info about this issue: It is happening if you for example use FileZilla and double-click on its topbar but make sure you have something behind it like Trash, Home folder, libre doc or anything else..
