Title:
   desktop icons arrange feature missing

Status in gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  with the new gnome
  1. desktop content (icons/files) cannot be navigated/deleted/modified by
keyboard
  2. missing feature to have icons arranged on desktop
  3. the bug that the icons get rearranged randomly when displays are changed
together with point 2 makes the desktop unusable for my whole family.

We have 6 computer running default ubuntu 18.04 and migrated to 20.04 - this
seams to be a mistake now.
I cannot express how harmful such small decision about icon removal is for
anyone trying to use Ubuntu. Imagine the newcomers to Linux destkop - this is
like 10 steps back with one small mistaken step.

Thanks for the bug report.

1. The issue with missing keyboard navigation is bug 1844808 and bug
1855711.

2. "missing feature to have icons arranged on desktop" is already
covered by bug 1826056.

3. Icons reshuffling themselves is best described by bug 1861280
already.

If you would like to communicate with the extension developers directly
then please also see:

  https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/ShellExtensions/desktop-icons

In future please report separate bugs for each separate issue.
