SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN qt5
SAL_VCL_QT5_USE_CAIRO true

Printing a blank page with libreoffice on Lubuntu 20.04

Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hello maintainer,

Printing from libreoffice on Lubuntu 20.04 allways produces a blank
page. After removing the package libreoffice-qt5 it works. To
reproducing the bug, you do not need to install a real printer. Having
the package printer-driver-cups-pdf install is enough.

  Release Lubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
  libreoffice-qt5 1:6.4.5-0ubuntu0.20.04.1

  Regards
  Reiner

2020-10-01 Thread Heather Ellsworth
Thank you so much for taking time to report this issue and make Ubuntu better!
I understand that this is inconvenient however there is a workaround so
lowering the priority since users have a way to temporarily fix the issue.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1892637] Re: Printing a blank page with libreoffice on Lubuntu 20.04

2020-10-01 Thread Leó Kolbeinsson
Tested on Lubuntu 20.04.1 LTS and Groovy Lubuntu daily ISO 20200930 and
can confirm this.

As a workaround run in terminal:

sudo apt install libreoffice-kf5

followed by:

sudo apt remove libreoffice-qt5

I refer to
https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/242188/cannot-print-anything-exporting-to-pdf-produces-blank-pdf-lubuntu-2004/

this needs further testing as there maybe adverse effects which I am not
aware of.
