It says connected and the switch is in the ON position in Bluetooth settings, however the audio still comes out of the speakers, the icon next to the volume bar in the top-right menu shows the speaker icon instead of the headphone icon. I have to disconnect the headset and re-connect it from Bluetooth settings for the audio to go to the headset. It doesn't work only when it connects automatically. I am facing with similar problem. I have Thinkpad T14 with COWIN bluetooth headphones. When I turn ON the headphones,it automatically connects. However the sound still comes out of internal speaker. When I go to output devices the headphone is not in the list. I have to disconnect and reconnect again to get the audio to the headphones. I tried the suggested solution from #1866194 i.e. deleting ~/.config/pulse and restarting.
