[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1908278] Re: Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.10.x - new patches needeed
Patched Nvidia 340.108 drivers supplied by Butterfly (kelebek333) at https://launchpad.net/~kelebek333/+archive/ubuntu/nvidia-legacy worked very well till kernel 5.17.x. Unfortunately that driver is no longer compiled with kernels 5.18.x even if it is patched for that. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1908278] Re: Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.10.x - new patches needeed
Hello everyone, great Butterfly (kelebek333) again! Thanks to him we can continue to use our old but still good graphic card with latest 5.10.x LTS kernels also in Groovy: https://launchpad.net/~kelebek333/+archive/ubuntu/nvidia-legacy Testing updated drivers since this morning and working great! I think this bug report may be considered solved unless Ubuntu decides to make official drivers available. ** Summary changed: - Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.10.x - new patches needeed + [SOLVED] Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.10.x - new patches needeed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1908278 Title: [SOLVED] Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.10.x - new patches needeed Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: As suggested by moderator Daniel van Vugt (vanvugt) I opened this new bug report: Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.10.x - new patches needeed Just to inform develepers that a new patch for Nvidia 340.108 and kernel 5.10 is available here: https://github.com/warpme/minimyth2/blob/master/script/nvidia/nvidia-340.108/files/ Thanks for your great contribution to community and have a nice day.
