Josue, the first step would be to fix your usb_modeswitch package installation, maybe by re-installing it. Sorry for the confusion about the kernel version, indeed the hwe kernel update which has been rolled out now is based on 5.8. Eventually I was able to install 5.4.0-62-generic and the stick is now working.
