Public bug reported:

When I'm using the standard Ubuntu installation with Gnome DE,
LibreOffice Impress transitions that require OpenGL do not work. To
reproduce the bug:

1) Create a presentation using LO Impress
2) Add an OpenGL transition (e.g. Fade In)
3) Start the presentation
4) The transition will be flickering in a very weird manner

I am currently using Ubuntu 20.10 with Nvidia drivers and the gtk3 VCL
plugin. However, this issue has existed since at least Ubuntu 19.10,
which was when I first experienced it.

This is a long-standing bug that might to be related with the way
drivers/OpenGL/Gnome are set-up on Ubuntu. See the following bug report
on LibreOffice's Bugzilla page:

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131610

The weirdest thing is that I also run Kubuntu 20.10 on the same machine
and on Kubuntu all transitions work perfectly fine. That's why I think
it may have something to do with Gnome on Ubuntu.

** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
