[Desktop-packages] [Bug 356279] Re: openoffice 'send document as email' should use xdg-email and does not work by default for Thunderbird
Libreoffice should select the default mail client of the Ubuntu operating system -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356279 Title: openoffice 'send document as email' should use xdg-email and does not work by default for Thunderbird Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Bug description: Binary package hint: openoffice.org We have several users here who use thunderbird rather than evolution. They have it set as their mail reader in System - Preferences - Preferred Applications. In Intrepid, when they used the 'send document as email' option in OpenOffice, it opened thunderbird. After upgrading to Jaunty beta, they report that it tried to start Evolution. Digging into 'Tools - Options - Internet', it seems OpenOffice now defaults to 'sensibleooo-mua' which we don't appear to ship?
