Title:
Sound comes out the main speaker even though the headphones are
  plugged in

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I recently installed PulseAudio in an attempt to test out how it works
with the latest Phonon. (The sane, non-Qt latest version of Phonon) It
seems to work OK, for the most part, except that sound still comes out
the speakers when I have my headphones plugged in. This happens with
  paplay myogg.ogg, so it's not a Phonon-specific issue.
