"Years ago" I applied the solution described here http://askubuntu.com/a/49941/16023 I'm still on "precise" (not "raring"). Lately, the issue's been cropping up more often again. What's the latest consensus on how to resolve this issue in "precise" ? I have the same issue running DELL Latitude D430 with Intel Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller.
