[Desktop-packages] [Bug 840454] Re: Power preferences does not have an option for Laptop Lid Close behavior
Power settings in Oneiric seem to be missing a Lot of options. you cant avoid hibernating/suspending anymore when you close the lid. this is really bad, specially when you are connected in AC power downloading updates or an ISO image and it stops the download and goes into sleep... they need to work on the power and display stuff, else it will be a step down from natty. and this should not be tagged as a wishlist, every desktop has this feature (gnome2, kde , even windows). For many this is very important. And for some people this is critical, since their hardware does not support well sleep or hibernating.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/840454 Title: Power preferences does not have an option for Laptop Lid Close behavior Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In 11.10 Beta, I do not see a way to set the computer to stay on when the lid is closed.
