All other Freecell games on all platforms I've tried do this, so that you can record when you lose a game and retry it later, exchange hard games with your friends and so on. This includes Win32 Freecell, Windows 7 Freecell, the 3rd party Freecell Plus, the Mac OS X Freecell by the late Alisdair McDiarmid of http://randomoracle.org/ and so on. This is not a bug but a feature request, but I can't find any author or any direct contact for the team to report it. This is the only way I know, I'm afraid. Associated functionality: enter a game number to retry a previous game, as opposed to just getting a new random game every time.
