[Desktop-packages] [Bug 937008] Re: Libre Office 3.5 - Fatal error on Ubuntu 12.04 Unity 2D
I have the same issue. it's something related to my personal user (as root it works). - Removing my ~/.libreoffice/ directory doesn't work. Nothing changes - I've installed debug version (as described above), here it's the error output... bpacheco@Bpacheco02:~$ libreoffice /home/bpacheco/.config/libreoffice/3/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml:1: parser error : Document is empty ^ /home/bpacheco/.config/libreoffice/3/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml:1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found ^ [Java framework] Error in function prepareSettingsDocument (elements.cxx). javaldx failed! It works now. Just remove ~/.config/libreoffice ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937008 Title: Libre Office 3.5 - Fatal error on Ubuntu 12.04 Unity 2D Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: I have problem to open Libre Office 3.5.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity 2D) Error -- The application cannot be started. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 937008] Re: Libre Office 3.5 - Fatal error on Ubuntu 12.04 Unity 2D
burjans, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is missing. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. One may execute at the Terminal: sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-dbg uno-libs3-dbg ure-dbg && sudo service apport start force_start=1 If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now reproduce the crash, then open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937008 Title: Libre Office 3.5 - Fatal error on Ubuntu 12.04 Unity 2D Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I have problem to open Libre Office 3.5.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity 2D) Error -- The application cannot be started.
