[Desktop-packages] [Bug 940359] Re: Segmentation fault on closing layers/channels/path/undo dock.

2013-08-18 Thread Thomas Hotz
I'm sorry that nobody has cared about this bug yet. I can't confirm this
bug on Ubuntu 13.04. Maybe this got better with GIMP 2.8? Which Ubuntu
version do you use? Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu!

** Changed in: gimp (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Incomplete

Title:
Segmentation fault on closing layers/channels/path/undo dock.

Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Ordinarily, the layers/channels/path/undo dock may be closed without
affecting work. Lately, doing so invariably results in abrupt crash
of application. Invoking gimp from terminal emulator, program crash
  is reported thusly:

  (script-fu:3698): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error
  Segmentation fault

Update to kernel or libraries within past week highly suspect. Erased
and reinstalled entire system, before any further configuration,
tested gimp as described above, performed normally. Then ran Update
  Manager, tested again, encountered problem.

Simultaneously arriving bugs reported separately as:
  * Processing becomes wedged during image rescale.
  * Selected area vanishes on change of tool choice
