While the pane can be dragged left to make it larger, it often isn't possible to drag the bar right to make it smaller. Not sure what other helpful information I can give... It isn't always too large, sometimes it is possible to resize it so that it is quite small, but then on a later song it resizes itself (presumably to fit new content) and becomes too large, and can't be made smaller again. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. Still seeing this on 2.96-0ubuntu3 Additionally the whole window cannot be resized (horizontally) very small. Can't reproduce this in rhythmbox 2.95.5-0ubuntu1. Could you please try to reproduce this on the latest version from the repos?
