[Desktop-packages] [Bug 962232] Re: Edit items in the Hardware section

2012-12-05 Thread Robert Roth
There is a discussion going on in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649908 about completely
dropping the system tab in favour of the control center details pane,
which displays the same information. However, the reordering of items
(which makes sense for me) still stands for control center too, as
Memory is displayed first there too. Based on this, I am reassigning to
control center and updating the description.

** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #649908
   https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649908

** Package changed: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) = gnome-control-
center (Ubuntu)

** Description changed:

- In the Hardware section of the system monitor, the items should be
- reversed in order to show the CPU first. It may also be useful to
- indicate which graphics card you are using.
+ In the Details pane Overview section of the control center. the
+ items should be reversed in order to show the CPU first. It may also be
+ useful to indicate which graphics card you are using.

- I've attached a picture showing what I mean
-
- ProblemType: Bug
- DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
- Package: gnome-system-monitor 3.3.92-0ubuntu1
- ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-19.31-generic-pae 3.2.12
- Uname: Linux 3.2.0-19-generic-pae i686
- ApportVersion: 1.94.1-0ubuntu2
- Architecture: i386
- Date: Thu Mar 22 15:47:45 2012
- InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin - Alpha i386 (20120316)
- SourcePackage: gnome-system-monitor
- UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)
+ See screenshot attached (screenshot is for system monitor, but the
+ reordering stands for control center too)

2012-04-08 Thread Robert Roth
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.
