melodram, this bug seems to be a duplicate of #882307, which is related to appmenu-gtk, so session logout is required. feedback: have purged then reinstalled *compiz* then reconfigured nautilus and log out/in reopenning nautilus on the next session, the greyed out menu item is gone and i can copy/paste again.
