  wanted to copy a subfolder then paste it inside an other subfolder

  folder" from the menu list because it is greyed.

no it doesn't, reininstalling things on linux doesn't put you in a
different situation, that bug just doesn't happen and the time and
restarting nautilus or your session will workaorund it

melodram, this bug seems to be a duplicate of #882307, which is related to 
appmenu-gtk, so session logout is required.
Could somebody affected check that this is a duplicate?

but copy/paste should work without reinstalling compiz, reconfigur
nautilus and log out/in

will it work/be fixed until the final release of 12.04?

feedback:

have purged then reinstalled *compiz*
then reconfigured nautilus and log out/in

reopenning nautilus on the next session, the greyed out menu item is gone and i 
can copy/paste again.
So marking it as fixed.
