[Desktop-packages] [Bug 985533] Re: [Dell System XPS L502X, Realtek ALC665, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all
Things that I noticed: Sometimes the drum sounds on login actually get played but after that the computer stays mute. If nothing else this tells me the speakers are working fine, so no hardware failure here. When I ran ubuntu-bug on this and it tried to play a test sound I could hear the speakers clicking as if being enabled/disabled again and again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/985533 Title: [Dell System XPS L502X, Realtek ALC665, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: [Dell System XPS L502X, Realtek ALC665, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: alsa-base 1.0.25+dfsg-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-23.36-generic 3.2.14 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-23-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
